Merriam-Webster has defined "Workstation" as an area that has the equipment needed for one person to do a particular job. 3smartcubes has its theory of how workstations reflects how you work and what kind of future prospects you hold. I'd think workstations are also great spaces to showcase one's individuality!
I love doing workstations revamp! I give mine a fresh new look every few months - putting up new motivation quotes, trying new colours and creating new moodboards for better organization! I'd wanted a revamp of my workstation for the longest time now - with functional moodboards (I can't stress enough how "life-saving" these moodboards are for me!), favourite pastel colours, it's like my way of welcoming spring! Sharing some photos where I've gotten my inspirations from, and I'd hope it'll inspire you greatly on your next workstation revamp ;P

9 Aug 2013 marks the 48th birthday of Singapore! Here's wishing the youthful nation, peace, unity and prosperity forevermore! As heartlanders do their final preparations of their gestures of well-wishes for the country, here's what a close friend, Mr Robin Oh (co-founder of Designed) had prepared for Singapore! Designed is founded by 2 budding Singaporean entrepreneurs, Mr Robin Oh and Mr Neo Poh Hong, who sworn to take woodcraft to a whole new level. In each of their wood work, not only do they challenge the traditionalism of the trade, they challenge the creativity of the human minds to constantly "think out of the box". Encouraged by the positive feedbacks they had received from their satisfied clients, we'll surely stay tuned to what's more to come from Designed. 'Nuff said, let's take a look at the technicalities of this "birthday present" Designed, prepared for Singapore. Craft Technicalities: 2 days on foot, gathering 48 pieces of wood from discarded bed frames, cupboards and wooden planks, found all around Singapore + 101% craftsmanship and sheer hard work I don't know about you, but I did feel that this piece of woodcraft is trying to convey a very strong message, close to heart. Just as how the 48 different pieces of wood from different locations and different make and type come together to form a complete piece of art, it signifies the power of unity. That is, people from different walks of life, even though they may not located physically here, there's always a strong sense of home, close to their hearts. And home, being Singapore. What're your thoughts? Share on this amazing piece of well-thought gift by Designed, to Singapore. Happy Birthday, Singapore! It has been real long while since my last tumbler art! Bringing you: Travel Documented Altered Tumbler ! Like most scrappers out there, I adore documenting about things on travel trips and I collect ticket stubs, postcards, brochures and just about any travel collectables I can get my hands on, and add them the photo albums or Project Life. This way, it gives a whole lot meaning and gush of travel memories when I look through the travel photos. And this, is the inspiration and story behind this Travel Documented Altered Tumbler. Let's have a close-up look on the details: Background stamp was by Inkadinkado. Instead of the regular stamping, stamped images were cut into strips of different sizes and I did a collage of these stamped strips for the background. Just as a travel trip, we piece together each and every memory and detail, and that's what makes the trip feels complete and wholesome. The pennant stamp was from Unity. I've chosen Charcoal Black from VersaFine Ink Pad, to bring out the intricate details of the stamps. The vintage map of Japan was from an old Atlas book. You can probably find an Atlas book in one of the thrift shops in your neighbourhoods or the nearest bookstore. Use a pair of really sharp scissors to trim the edges round the map, then distress the edges with Bark from VersaFine, to recreate a vintage look. Rolling 'em up and trim round the edges (if need to). Other idea: Recreate the look in the form of a tag or even a 12" x 12" scrapbook page, where you can add on travel photos, write short captions and embellish with ticket stubs, cut-outs from travel brochures and postcards or just any other collectables from the trip! Hope you like this! Craft inspiration from Louis Vuitton Paper Dolls! Background info on the Louis Vuitton Paper Dolls... With the whole rar-rar of the CHA, I cant wait to see all the new gadgets and collections! Particularly, where I'm a huge fan of Graphic 45! Love the bold colours and the eye-catching graphics - mesmerizing intricacy in each collection. Definitely one of the market leaders in setting the tone of each CHA! So while I was looking through G45's CHA 2012 sneak peeks, its old collection of ABC Primer gave me new inspirations! ABC Primer is all about good ol' school days! Don't we all miss those days of bringing lunch boxes to school, the rides on the school bus, taking attendances at classrooms, shopping for school supplies for each new school term: single-lined jotter books, trusty wooden ruler, etc.?
